Advanced security settings

Always use secure connections

A website's URL with HTTPS indicates a secure connection, which typically offers more security than those without it. Enabling the "Always use secure connections" feature in Ulaa ensures HTTPS navigation for URLs and provides a warning before visiting sites that lack HTTPS support.

  1. At the top right, click Menu
  2. Select Preferences > Privacy and security
  3. Under Advanced turn on Always use secure connections
If you load a site without HTTPS in its URL, you'll see a "Not Secure" warning in the address bar.

Use Secure DNS

Secure DNS ensures the safety and confidentiality of your web browsing when accessing websites. Without secure DNS or other protective measures, web traffic can be tampered with or stolen, putting your device and data at risk. When you activate "Enable secure DNS connection," Ulaa encrypts your data during the lookup process. Additionally, you have the option to choose a custom DNS provider.
  1. At the top right, click Menu.
  2. Select Preferences > Privacy and security
  3. Under Advanced turn on Use Secure DNS
  4. Select your current service provider or choose from the drop-down menu.

Manage V8 security

  1. At the top right, click Menu.
  2. Select Preferences > Privacy and security
  3. Under Advanced turn on Manage V8 security
  4. You can choose your preferred setting:
Allow sites to use the V8 optimizer. This increases performance and ensures that JavaScript features work properly. This option is recommended.
Don’t allow sites to use the V8 optimizer. This reduces performance but enhances V8 security.

Manage security keys

  1. At the top right, click Menu.
  2. Select Preferences > Privacy and security
  3. Under Advanced turn on Manage security keys
  4. You can manage your security key n the following ways
Control which phones you use as security keys.
Protect your security key with a PIN.
Manage sign-in data stored on your security key.
Add or delete fingerprints saved on your security key.
Reset your security key, which deletes all data on it, including the PIN.

Manage HTTPS/SSL certificate settings

  1. At the top right, click Menu.
  2. Select Preferences > Privacy and security
