Smart Dark Mode applies a dark-coloured theme to websites for visual convenience. It is especially beneficial in low-light conditions as it is easy on the eyes and reduces eye strain.
You can customize the application of dark mode to all sites, specific sites, or based on the browser's colour scheme.
How to enable Smart Dark Mode?
To enable Smart Dark Mode, follow the steps given below
- On the top right, click Menu.
- Go to Preferences > Appearance > Smart Dark Mode.
By default, Smart Dark Mode is turned off.
To customize Smart Dark mode, follow the steps below
1. Apply Dark Mode to Specific Sites
When turned on, dark mode is applied only to sites listed in the "Smart Dark Mode Sites" list.
How to add a site to the "Smart Dark Mode Sites" List?
- Open the website you want to add.
- Click on the "Sun icon" in the address bar
2. Always apply dark theme to all the sites
You can choose to apply the dark theme to all websites.
To exclude certain sites from dark mode, you can add a site to the exceptions list.
How to add a site to the "Exceptions" List?
- Open the website you want to add.
- Click on the "Moon icon" in the address bar.
3. Apply dark theme to sites only when the browser colour scheme is dark
