Fix download errors

If you are unable to download a document, image, extension or any files, proceed with the following instructions. 

  1. Make sure your internet connection is stable. If your internet connection is unstable, learn how to fix connection errors.

  • Ulaa will automatically resume download. The file download can also be resumed by clicking the Up arrow   and  click Resume.

  1. Try to download the file later.

  2. Contact the website's owner.

Fix other common errors

  1. "NETWORK_FAILED"

If you encounter the "NETWORK_FAILED" error message while attempting to install something from the Web Store, unwanted software could be blocking the installation.

To resolve this issue:

    1. Remove the unwanted software and try to install it again.

    2. If the problem persists, reinstall Ulaa.

  1. "Download Blocked"

This error message indicates that your computer's security settings have blocked the download. 

 

On Windows: It is possible that the Windows Attachment Manager removed the file you attempted to download. To check what files can be downloaded or to understand why your file was blocked, review your Windows internet security settings. 

  1. "No File" or "File Missing"

This error message suggests that you are trying to download a file that either does not exist on the website or has been moved to a different location on the website.

To resolve this issue, you can reach out to the website owner or try to find the file on another website.

  1. "Virus Scan Failed" or "Virus Detected"

These error messages indicate that your virus scanning software may have blocked the download of the file. To resolve this issue:

  1. Check your virus scanning software for details on why the file was blocked.

  2. On Windows, the Windows Attachment Manager might have removed the file, you can check that in your Windows internet security settings. 

  1. "Disk Full"

This error message indicates that there is insufficient space on your computer to complete the download of the file. To resolve this issue:

  1. Delete some unnecessary files from your computer to free up space.

  2. Empty your trash to ensure that deleted files are no longer taking up space on your hard drive. 

  1. "Insufficient Permissions" or "System Busy"

These error messages suggest that the Ulaa browser was unable to save the file to your computer. To resolve this issue:

  1. Cancel the current download and try again.

  2. Instead of clicking on the file to download, try right clicking on the link and selecting "Save link as"

  3. Make sure to download the files to a location on your computer that you have access to, like your Desktop or Documents folder. Checkout how to download a file.

  1. “Needs authorization”

This error message indicates that you do not have the necessary permissions to download the file. To resolve this issue:

  1. Contact the website or server owner to request permission to download the file.

  2. Alternatively, you can try looking for the file on a different website.

  1. "Forbidden" or "Failed - Forbidden"

 

This error message suggests that you do not have the proper permissions to download the file from the server. To resolve this issue:

  1. Visit the website where the file is hosted and check if you need to sign in or provide some other form of authentication to download the file.

  2. If you are unable to sign in, reach out to the website or server owner.

  3. Alternatively, you can try looking for the file on a different website.
